Privacy and GDPR Compliance

The following measures are in place to ensure Arabic To Zoology Ltd’s compliance with GDPR legislation introduced on 25 May 2018.

Cookies and visiting this site

WordPress places cookies on your computer when you visit our site. We don’t capture or store any identifiable personal information about you.

If you come to us via Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and other social media platforms, they may place a cookie on your computer. Vimeo, YouTube and other platforms that may appear on our website may also place a cookie on your computer. These cookies do not let those platforms or Arabic To Zoology Ltd capture or store data that identifies you as an individual.

Our contact form

If you fill in and submit the contact form on our site, we will contact you advising you to read this notice of our GDPR measures, and offering you the opportunity to opt into receiving communications from us.

The data that you submit via the form on this site (including your name, email address and telephone number) will be stored on our secure mail server, as well as on our local servers/hard drives in our CRM software application. Our secure web server hosted by Pinkeye Graphics only stores data very briefly as email in transit. Some or all of this data may also, from time to time, be transferred to third party secure Cloud storage utilities such as OneDrive, Dropbox or Google Drive.

When you fill in and submit the contact form on this site, we may contact you to ask for your consent to add your name to an email list for our own marketing purposes. If you consent to this, your data may be stored on our systems, on Cloud storage systems, or by third party Cloud service providers such as Mail Chimp.

Contacting us by email or telephone

If you contact us in the first instance by email or telephone, we may request your basic personal information such as name, email address and telephone number to keep a record of your enquiry and to prepare for the possibility of doing business with you.

If you consent to this, we will retain the information you provide on our local servers/hard drives in our CRM software application. Some or all of this may also, from time to time, be transferred to third party secure Cloud storage utilities such as OneDrive, Dropbox or Google Drive.

Any additional data that you might disclose to us as e-mail correspondence will be stored on our secure mail server, as well as on our local servers/hard drives in our CRM software application. Some or all of this may also, from time to time, be transferred to third party secure Cloud storage utilities such as OneDrive, Dropbox or Google Drive.

Becoming a client

If you become a client (you enter into a contractual agreement with us to carry out work on your behalf), we may ask you for further information. Generally, this will not involve any personal data, though it may include your home address if your business operates from home.

Any data you supply in this context will be stored on our secure mail server, as well as on our local servers/hard drives in our CRM software application. Some or all of this may also, from time to time, be transferred to third party secure Cloud storage utilities such as OneDrive, Dropbox or Google Drive.

Mailing lists

We do not currently maintain a marketing email list of our own. However, when you fill in and submit the contact form on this site, we may contact you to consent to our adding your name to an email list for the purposes of our own marketing. If you consent to this, your data may be stored on our systems, on Cloud storage systems, or by third party Cloud service providers such as Mail Chimp.

Consents and Acceptances

We maintain our database of users who have accepted our Privacy & GDPR Policy on our secure mail server, as well as on our local servers and hard drives.

Data Requests

You may request a copy of any record we hold against your name by writing to us at ruth@arabictozoology.co.uk. Please allow seven working days for us to retrieve and provide your record for you. You have the right to have your personal data deleted.
